星の数ほど多くのアーティストが輩出され単発リリースで終わったと思われるような南アフリカのディスコ、バブルガム作品の中で、数年前のS.A discoブーム初期から定番アイテムだった"Kae Kapa Kae"等でおなじみのThe Hardworkers。
当時からコンスタントに作品を出し続け、Kwaito~House〜Dance popブームが来てもより洗練されていく稀有なアーティストですが、この作品は93年ど直球のピアノをフィーチャーしたアッパーなハウスで胸を打つ作品。
謎のぴよぴよしたシンセ使いのピアノハウス"Power Of God"や、現地の言語で歌われる"Ndolila"等通して素晴らしい作品。
南アフリカのハウスはほとんどが高騰してしまっていますね…
The Hardworkers are well-known for "Kae Kapa Kae," which has been a staple item since the early days of the S.A. disco boom a few years ago, among the South African disco and bubblegum releases that seem to have been one-offs.
The Hardworkers are a rare artist who has been consistently releasing new works since that time, and has continued to refine their skills even after the Kwaito~House~Dance pop boom.
This is a heartbreaking piece of upper house music featuring a straight-ahead piano from 1993.
